Significant life events can happen when we least expect them. Maybe there is difficulty at work, a fight with your significant other, a major life decision in front of you, or it feels like “when it rains it pours.” For times like these we may want problem solving techniques, mindful interventions, conflict mediation, referrals to other professionals, or just a listening ear. 

REAL TALK WITH WOMEN: WOMEN’S TOPIC GROUPS

The world around us is constantly changing, which means our challenges are changing with it. Women today navigate a variety of individual, social and cultural issues such as work-life balance, family dynamics, gender roles, personal and professional growth. At MINDTUNE, we provide a space for brainstorming, sharing, and feedback from women in the community. Join us every third Thursday from 6:00pm-7:15pm for our Women’s Topic Group followed by an optional networking reception from 7:15-8:00pm. Topics change weekly and can be found under the Happenings page on the MINDTUNE website. 

 

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)

What is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)?

DBT is a modified cognitive behavioral treatment developed by Marsha M. Linehan. DBT aims to decrease behavioral dysregulation through use of dialectics and mindfulness. In other words, DBT focuses on changing behaviors that DO NOT work or are ineffective by using techniques for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindful awareness.

DBT has been used in the treatment of a variety of disorders and is primarily indicated in the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), which is categorized by unstable relationships, mood swings, outbursts, and impulsivity.

We offer a variety of DBT informed options for individual, family, and group services.
